Choose and load your strength plan
Decide which plan is right for you.
Each BaseCamp strength plan is divided into two eight-week phases.
Phase 1: Foundation Phase
This phase builds general functional strength and athletic stability and is available in both beginner and advanced tracks.
Beginner: For athletes new to strength training or returning after time away (more than six months without strength training). We'll focus on learning movement patterns and developing a stable foundation.
Intermediate/Advanced: For athletes with prior experience who can safely handle more complex progressions.
Tip: If you have never participated in a structured strength training program or have not executed structured training in the last six months to a year, select the beginner plan. If you have completed a structured program in the past and currently include regular strength work in your training, select the Intermediate/Advanced plan.
Phase 2: Performance Phase
Our second eight-week phase is designed to build specific power to support your cycling goals. Choose a plan based on your target outcome:
General Fitness: Balanced strength and endurance for overall cycling performance
Climbing: Lower-body emphasis to improve force production and sustained torque for climbing
Sprinting: Power- and speed-oriented sessions to improve acceleration and high-force output
