Feed vs. Spaces in Circle

In Circle there are two main ways that posts are organized: the Feed and Spaces. You'll find the same content in both, and both are designed to help you stay connected, informed, and engaged.

Think of it like this:

  • The Feed is your home base, showing a running stream of all recent activity across the entire Circle.

  • Spaces are rooms, each focused on a specific topic, program, or group.

Understanding how to use the Feed and Spaces will help you get the most out of your BaseCamp experience.

Quick Start

Feature

What it Does

When to Use It

Feed

Displays posts, comments, and updates from across the entire Circle in a single view

When you want to see what's new, catch up quickly, or scroll through current activity

Spaces

Organizes content by topic or group (like Training, Nutrition, Events, Tech Support, etc.)

When you want to dive deeper into a subject, ask a question, or find structured content

Step-by-Step Instructions

Using the Feed

  1. Open Circle and click Feed from the left menu.

  2. Browse the latest posts, comments, and updates from all Spaces you belong to.

  3. Use the filters (All, Following, or My Activity) to customize what you see.

  4. Like, comment, reply, or bookmark directly from the Feed; it's a quick way to stay engaged without visiting each Space individually.

Using Spaces

  1. From the left menu, click on a Space (for example, Training, Nutrition, or Events).

  2. Each Space functions as a focused discussion area, resource hub, or event page.

  3. Use Spaces to post questions or updates related to the topic, read announcements or training materials, upload or download resources, and join topic-specific discussions.

  4. Follow a Space to get notified when new posts appear there.

Tips & Troubleshooting

Tips

  • Think of the Feed as your quick-scroll overview and Spaces as in-depth workspaces.

  • Use Feed to stay connected and Spaces to stay organized.

  • To reduce noise, unfollow any Spaces that aren't relevant to your current goals or interests. You can always re-follow later!

  • If you're new, start in the Community Space first; it's the heart of BaseCamp and where most conversations begin.

Troubleshooting

  • Not seeing posts in your Feed? Make sure you're following the Spaces you want updates from.

  • Too much activity? Filter your Feed by Following to see only the Spaces and people you follow.

  • Missed a post? Each Space keeps a full history, so you can always go back and catch up.
