Workout terms and abbreviations
You'll see some abbreviations and terms in your workouts; scroll through the glossary below to find out what they mean! TrainingPeaks has some abbreviations of their own, so check out their glossary, as well.
AVG | Average |
CD | Cool down |
DTP | Dynamic training protocol |
EPC | Explosive power for climbing |
EPD | Explosive power development |
FR | Fatigue resistance, often when the hard part of the workout is toward the end of the ride |
HC | High cadence |
HR | Heart rate |
LBST | Main set (the main part of the workout) |
LS | Lactate shuttle |
MS | Main set or sets (the main part of the workout); if there are multiple sets within a workout, they will be identified as MS1, MS2, etc. |
NP | neuromuscular power OR normalized power |
PDC | Power duration curve (in WKO) |
PE | Perceived exertion |
PW | Power |
RPE | Rate of perceived exertion |
RPM | Rotations per minute (cadence) |
