Set training zones in TrainingPeaks

It's important to set your thresholds in your TrainingPeaks account to make sure your workouts create the right stress for you. Watch the video for a tutorial, or follow the written instructions. Click here for instructions on calculating your FTP from your test workout.


  1. Click your name at the top right and then select Settings from the dropdown menu.

  2. In the window that opens, click Zones on the left.

  3. Scroll down to the Default Power (or Heart Rate) section and enter your threshold in the Threshold Value box. In the first dropdown under "Auto Calculation," select Threshold Power (or Lactate Threshold if not training with power). In the second dropdown, select "Andy Coggan (6)" as the method. Click the "Calculate" button to populate your new zones.
