Shannon's story: Lifeline 100
BaseCamp athlete Shannon Scanlon shared her experience at the 2026 Lifeline 100 bike ride in Maryland.
Lifeline was a "C" event, not a race but a group ride on our local roads. It was a good mental break for me from the structured training and race focus. It rained throughout the course of the day, so we debated even starting. However, playing in the rain was just what I needed! I was able to just relax, enjoy the aid stations, and put the power numbers aside.
