Sue's story: Maple Leaf Gravel Grind

This event wasn't considered a race for me. I have always wanted to do this ride but has never worked out. It was a beautiful fall day, and I got to ride with fellow BaseCamper Beth Huffaker. It was a blast. The course was very hilly, and Beth and I rode up Pork Chop Hill together. It was a short but steep climb!!! The weather was great until later in the ride we turned south. The wind was tough on our tired bodies. I was so happy to ride and enjoy the event!
