BaseCamper Amy Fowler shares her personal gravel bike adventure in California.
While visiting my parents in CA, I met up with fellow BaseCamper Andrea (who was in CA on business), and we did a 3-day gravel bike adventure. The first day we rode thru Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. Day 2 we rode out to Goat Rock Beach at the coast and then along Willow Creek for some more redwoods and a creek crossing, which was much higher than expected due to all the rain they area had recently. And finally on Day 3 we were in Cloverdale on Geysers Road which took us past the largest geothermal plant in the world with spectacular views and thru the Mayacamas Mountains.
