Beth's story: Cedar Blitz

BaseCamp athlete Beth Huffaker shared her experience at the 2025 Cedar Blitz gravel bike race in Michigan.

Second annual Michigan gravel race was a blast! This year I chased Tracy for the first mile until, just as on Zwift, she vanished with the pack! Although, in my defense, she did utilize the tactic of wearing me out on our warmup beforehand. 😁 She's a clever one and so fast!

It was nice to see John Keepers at the start before he lined up with the rest of the speedsters!

I loved the course, fast, no chunky gravel and no giant hills! I was happy to improve my time at the distance and even got a taste of what it’s like to climb up on the wooden box at the end!😁

I still have so much to learn and am glad to have Menachem's coaching to guide me along! Thanks so much for that!

Last but not least, it was a pleasure to have John Gravlin be our most efficient domestique for the weekend! 🤣🤣 Thank you!!
