Dennis's story: Gravel and Wine

BaseCamp athlete Dennis Wojcik shared his experience at the 2026 Gravel & Wine bike race in California.

Early-season race near my house. Shorter course at 40 miles but fun. A fast rollout to start with a 7-mile climb at mile 8 to split the group. Felt good and hit Tempo to Sweet Spot for most of the event. Hit a 2026 first for 1 minute, 5 minute, 10 minute and 20 minute power. Ended up 3rd in my age group!
