BaseCamp athlete Frank Giresi shared his experience at the 2025 GRUSK (Gravel Ride Up Spruce Knob) bike race in West Virginia.

Heat training. It got hot. Struggled with hydration, could not get enough water. Saw Natalie Barron. Lots of hydration afterwards with free beer and a band in a yurt in West Virginia. Lead singer in a wheelchair, and they are selling garlic. You know it's got to be good!
