Jody's story: Fleche Buffoon

BaseCamp athlete Jody Twer shared her experience at the 2026 Fleche Buffoon bike race in Pennsylvania.

Another crazy hilly event, but this time totally road…55 miles, 5000 ft…some 20% climbs…I didn’t sleep the night before (common problem for some of us ladies)…so if I wasn't meeting a friend that morning, I would have bailed. So…we both walked part of a couple hills in the first 10 miles but seemed to do better once we were warmed up… and it was COLD at the start!!

Cut the course by 8 miles.. we were both trashed. Not my best day on the bike…but happy I showed up!
