Jody's story: Jersey Gravel Grinder

BaseCamp athlete Jody Twer shared her experience at the 2026 Jersey Gravel Grinder bike race in New Jersey.

Soooo…another challenge completed. cold at the start and windy at the end!

Bedminster NJ has tons on gravel and single track (which was a surprise!). I was glad for gravel camp training…I needed it on a few sections!

I did my best racing the strava segments...hoping I aced my age group.

had a blast riding with teammates Candace, founder of sturdy girls, Sally and long time friend, Jen

also met a fellow BaseCamper, Dave

I recommend this event...it is well run and well marked. And plenty challenging!

Only complaint…rest stops could have been better stocked…so bring what you need
