Kim's story: Bike MS Cape Cod Getaway

BaseCamp athlete Kim Pzegeo shared her experience at the 2025 Bike MS Cape Cod Getaway bike ride in Massachusetts.

This one is always special—showing up for a cause that means so much to my heart and family never gets old. After a rainy first day, we were treated to a beautiful June day for Day 2, and I had the privilege of riding with an amazing group of friends. The legs were definitely feeling the miles from the day before, but familiar roads and great company made for the perfect ending to a long weekend.

The route was updated this year and had such a nicer flow—a big win for all the riders! Day 2 always starts as an easy roll-out with our whole team before we naturally split into smaller groups. One of my favorite things about cycling is being able to share the ride with others, and this year was extra meaningful because I got to support a few friends along the way, helping them have a smoother ride and finish strong.

There's so much joy in seeing others succeed, especially when a few simple tips or bits of encouragement can make all the difference. Grateful for the miles, the memories, and another incredible year with the Bike MS community.
