Mike's story: Willow Time Trial

BaseCamp athlete Mike Adsit shared his experience at the 2025 Willow Time Trial bike race in Michigan.

A good day racing for BaseCamp. Kitted out in BaseCamp Water Panache. A 15-mile time trial. 70+ age group. Cool 55 degrees and brutal headwind and crosswinds on 3 of 4 legs. A wheee on the tailwind leg! First race of the year. The new TT bike made up of a used Kestrel frame, new TriRig handlebars, and HED wheels from my old TT bike seemed to ride well. Thanks to my friend Seth Kleinglass of Sweet Bikes for helping with the assembly. Thanks to Coach Jim Pomeroy for guiding great training preparation. And thanks to BaseCamp!
