Ryan's story: Bovine Classic

BaseCamp athlete Ryan Kabat shared his experience at the 2025 Bovine Classic bike race in California.

I wrapped up my event season with The Bovine Classic in Atascadero, CA, today. Incredibly fun and challenging event, with routes to fit just about anybody's desires. I rode the shortest of the three options, the Happy Bovine, and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty contained in the 44 miles and 4,200 feet of climbing.

Perhaps my favorite part about the event is that I only learned about it through another Basecamp member when we rode Hincapie Merced together earlier this year.
