BaseCamp athlete Sherri Wisoff shared her experience at the 2025 Michigan Senior Olympics.
I bought my first road bike last July, and after discovering that I would get dropped from most group rides, I decided to sign up for the winter training with BaseCamp while working with coach, Lori Thomson. After winter BaseCamp training and a climbing camp in SC, I did my first time trial in Virginia.
I am thrilled to share that I participated this week in the Michigan Senior Games and captured 3 gold medals (10k TT, 20K RR, 40k RR) and 1 silver (5k TT) in my age bracket of 70-74. I am totally overwhelmed and thrilled!
Thank you so much to all the BaseCamp community that slogged with me on my Zwift training, the endless supply of helpful and thoughtful bike geek info, videos, and thumbs up from all the BaseCamp staff, and a HUGE HUG to my coach, Lori, for putting up with my endless texts and emojis.
I have two years to get ready for the 2027 National Senior Games, bring it on. Woohoo! May we all ride on strong!!!
