BaseCamp athlete Stacey Kolstad shared her experience at the 2026 Green Lake Gravel Grinder bike race in Alaska.

Course: 38 miles on the military base, mostly gravel mudfest from the rain

Weather: 38 degrees at start and rain

Feel: Well frozen at the start, warmed up quickly (me, not the weather), the best I'd ever had at racing this. Felt stronger and prepared.
