Susan's story: La Strada La Plata

BaseCamp athlete Susan Helm-Murtagh shared her experience at the 2025 La Strada La Plata gravel bike race in Colorado.

Did the La Strada La Plata today in beautiful Durango, CO. It's one of my favorite races -- 55 miles of gravel with about 5,000 feet of climbing amidst the gorgeous San Juan Mountains. Snagged 2nd AG (60-69) and took 12 minutes off my time from last year. Weather was perfect, and met lots of nice folks out on the course!
